Four members of our walking community put on their walking boots and stepped out EVERY day in August to raise money for MNDA.
David Ellis with rescue dog Mitzi, Elsa West, Jon Sheedy and Lorna Barratt with her four-legged friend Winnie, walked, talked and raised awareness by walking 1,500 steps a day – an average of 7 miles - throughout the month-long challenge.
Walking in memory of special people in their lives and for many friends and families living with MND, this was an emotional as well as physical challenge. Knowing that every step was a step nearer to finding a cure for MND was all the motivation the group needed.
In total, our wonderful walkers clocked up an impressive 996 miles between them and raised almost £7,000 for the cause.
