In September, more than 140 family members from five MNDA branches, including Cheshire, came together for a fantastic day out at Chester Zoo.
Organised by the Children and Young People (CYP) team, the event gave families affected by MND the opportunity to enjoy a memorable day together, explore the zoo and connect with others who understand their experiences.
Thanks to the generosity of Chester Zoo, entrance fees were waived, and the CYP team covered train fares. Every child received a goody bag, and each family group was given a £40 voucher to spend at the zoo.
Despite the weather, families enjoyed a wonderful day out, creating special memories together.
